Privacy Policy

Overview

Zeti is designed with your privacy as a priority. You do not need an account to use Zeti, and there is no sign-in. Your fasting history, journal entries, weight, and photos are stored only on your device. We do not sell your data, and we never upload your fasting or health data to our servers.

Data Stored on Your Device

All app data is stored in a local database on your device. This includes:

• Fasting sessions and plans
• Journal entries, notes, and mood, energy, hunger, and water logs
• Weight entries and body measurements
• Photos you attach to journal entries
• Profile details you choose to enter (name, email, age, gender, height, weight goals)
• App preferences and settings

This data is only accessible to Zeti on your device and is never uploaded to any server. It may be included in your device's own backup system (e.g. Google or iCloud backup) if you have that enabled.

Usage Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used so we can improve it. Analytics data is pseudonymous: it is linked to a random app-instance identifier, not to your name or email. We record events such as:

• Screens and features used
• Fasting session started and ended (planned and actual hours, final stage, completion)
• Settings you change
• Onboarding progress (without personal details)
• Whether a journal entry includes notes, mood, weight, or photos (yes/no only)

Firebase also automatically collects basic device information such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, and approximate region derived from your IP address.

Advertising-ID collection is disabled. We do NOT send your name, email, weight values, body measurements, journal notes, or photos to analytics.

Crash Reporting

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports when the app encounters errors. These reports help us fix bugs and improve stability. Crash reports include device information and the app's technical state at the time of the crash, but never your journal content or health data.

Remote Configuration

The app periodically downloads configuration settings from Firebase Remote Config so we can adjust app behavior without an update. This request uses the app-instance identifier and does not include your personal data.

Camera & Photo Access

If you choose to attach photos to journal entries, the app requests access to your camera and photo library. Images you select are stored locally on your device. We do not upload or transmit images to any server.

Notifications

With your permission, the app sends local notifications for fasting stage milestones and reminders. These notifications are generated entirely on your device — no notification data is sent to external servers.

Sharing & Export

When you share a progress image or export your data, the file is created on your device and sent only to the app or location you choose through your device's share sheet or file picker. Zeti does not receive a copy.

Data Retention & Deletion

All locally stored data can be deleted at any time via Settings → Reset All Data. This permanently removes all fasting history, journal entries, and preferences from your device. Uninstalling the app also removes this data. Analytics and crash data held by Firebase are retained for a limited period according to our Firebase retention settings.

Zeti uses the following third-party services to operate and improve the app:

Children's Privacy

Zeti is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. Significant changes will be noted in the app update release notes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
