Getting Started
How do I start a fast?
Open the app and tap the Track tab. Press "Start Fasting" to begin. The timer starts immediately and your progress ring will update in real time.
How do I choose a fasting plan?
Go to Settings → Default Fasting Plan to select a preset duration (e.g. 16h, 24h, 72h) or create a custom schedule. Your plan sets the goal ring on the timer screen.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Zeti works completely offline and requires no account. All your data stays on your device.
Fasting & Metabolic States
What are the metabolic states shown in the app?
Zeti tracks your progression through fasting stages: Fed State, Early Fasting, Glycogen Depletion, Fat Burning, Ketosis, and Immune Regeneration. Each stage begins at a specific elapsed time based on established fasting research.
What is Extended Fasting Mode?
Extended Fasting Mode allows the timer to run past your goal duration without automatically stopping. Enable it in Settings if you plan fasts longer than your default plan. Always consult a healthcare professional before attempting extended fasts.
Can I pause a fast?
The timer runs continuously in the background. You can end a fast at any time by tapping "End Fasting" on the Track screen — the session will be saved to your Journal.
Journal & Analytics
How do I log my mood or weight?
While a fast is active, tap the "Log Mood" or weight entry buttons on the Track screen. You can also edit entries after the fact by tapping a session in your Journal.
What does the consistency calendar show?
The calendar in the Charts tab shows days where you completed a fasting session. Darker tiles indicate longer fasts. It helps you visualise your weekly and monthly consistency at a glance.
How is my success rate calculated?
A session counts as successful if you reached or exceeded your goal duration. Your success rate in the Journal header is the percentage of sessions where you hit your goal.
Data & Privacy
Where is my data stored?
All data is stored locally in a SQLite database on your device. Nothing is uploaded to any server. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I delete all my data?
Go to Settings → Reset All Data. This permanently deletes all fasting history, journal entries, mood logs, and preferences from your device. This action cannot be undone.
Is my data backed up?
Zeti does not back up your data to any cloud service. If your device uses Google Backup or iCloud backup, your local app data may be included in those device-level backups.
Troubleshooting
The timer stopped in the background — what happened?
The timer continues running in the background, but your device's battery optimisation may have restricted the app. On Android, go to Settings → Battery → App permissions and allow Zeti to run unrestricted. On iOS, ensure Background App Refresh is enabled for Zeti.
I'm not receiving fasting reminders.
Check that notifications are enabled for Zeti in your device's Settings. In the app, go to Settings → Notification Settings to configure your reminder schedule.
The app crashed. How do I report it?
Crash reports are automatically sent to our team via Firebase Crashlytics (with your permission). If you'd like to report a specific issue, email us at support@zeti.app with your device model, OS version, and a description of what happened.
Want to delete your data?
You can reset all app data instantly from within the app, or submit a formal deletion request.
